VOLTA MANTOVANA

Abbarbicata alle pendici della morena collinare, Volta Mantovana testimonia il suo ruolo storico di baluardo antiscaligero e antivisconteo con i rimanenti torrioni e ruderi del castello, espugnato nel XI sec. I resti del castello di Volta Mantovana, le dirimpettaie residenze patrizie, tra le quali Palazzo Gonzaga dalla severa facciata cinquecentesca e la parrocchiale di Santa Maria Maddalena, sono le attrattive turistiche di rilevanza del piccolo borgo.

At the slopes of the hilly moraine,Volta Mantovana witnesses its historical part, as bulwark against the Scaliger and the Viscount families, with the remaining embattled towers and ruins of the castle, taken by storm during the XIth century. The ruins of the castle, the opposite aristocratic abodes, such as the Gonzaga Palace with its severe sixteenth-century front and the Holy Mary Magdalene's Church, are the important touristic attractions in the little village.

Il Torrione di Volta

Mit seinen übrig gebliebenen Türmen und den Ruinen der im 11. Jh. eroberten Burg zeugt Volta Mantovana, an den Hängen einer Hügelmoräne gelegen, von seiner historischen Rolle als Bollwerk gegen Veroneser und Visconti. Die Reste der Burg von Volta Mantovana, die gegenüberliegenden Patrizierhäuser, unter ihnen der Palast Gonzaga mit seiner strengen Fassade aus dem 16. Jh., und das Pfarrgebäude von Santa Maria Maddalena sind die eminenten Attraktionen für die Touristen des kleinen Ortes

GOITO

Nel paese dei Bersaglieri, una statua di bronzo sul “ponte della gloria” che attraversa il Mincio ricorda la tappa risorgimentale della storia ricca di eventi di questo borgo, pupilla di molti occhi gonzagheschi. Passeggiando per le vie di Goito si resta colpiti dai secoli di storia che permeano gli edifici: sono alcuni esempi la Basilica della Madonna della Salute in San Pietro Apostolo; Villa Giraffa, mosaico di stili architettonici; il Torrione medievale del castello.

In the "Bersaglieri" 's village, a bronze statue on the “bridge of the glory” crossing the Mincio, reminds the Risorgimento stage of the rich history of events in this village, apple of the several Gonzaga's eye. Walking through the streets of Goito, centuries of history, permeating buildings, streak you: the Holy Mary of Salvation's Basilica in St. Peter Apostle, the GiraffeVilla, mosaic of architectonical styles and the mediaeval embattled tower of the castle are just some examples.

RIVALTA SUL MINCIO

Rivalta va osservato per quello che è stato per secoli: un paese indissolubilmente legato al fiume. Le case più vecchie, le prime vie, la chiesa, sono vicino al Mincio, da cui gli abitanti traevano sostentamento. Oggi, la palude che si estende da Rivalta fin quasi a Mantova costituisce la Riserva Naturale delle "Valli del Mincio", una delle più importanti ed estese zone umide del Nord Italia, attraversata da una miriade di canali e specchi d’acqua.

Rivalta should be watched as it has been for centuries: a village indissolubly connected to the river. The oldest houses, the first streets and the church are near the Mincio, river which supplied nourishment to the inhabitants. Today, the marsh extending from Rivalta as far as Mantova, constitutes the Natural Reservation of the "Mincio Valleys", one of the most important and extended damp place in the Northern Italy, crossed by numerous canals and streches of water.

Rivalta muss als das angesehen werden, was es Jahrhunderte lang war: ein unlösbar mit dem Fluss verbundener Ort. Die ältesten Häuser, die ersten Straßen und die Kirche befinden sich am Mincio, der den Bewohnern ihren Unterhalt sicherte. Heute ist das Sumpfland, das sich von Rivalta bis fast nach Mantova erstreckt, ein Naturschutzgebiet, das „Valli del Mincio“, eine der wichtigsten und ausgedehntesten Feuchtzonen Norditaliens, die von einer Unzahl von Kanälen und Wasserspiegeln durchzogen wird.

MANTOVA

Un tempo Mantova, capitale dello stato dei Gonzaga, era completamente circondata dalle acque. Da esse traeva protezione, irrigazione per i campi e forza motrice per le macine dei mulini. Dove il Mincio scorre con lenti meandri, tra fiori di loto, campanili sull’acqua e progetti idraulici che nella bassa padana crearono una meta di arte e cultura, è possibile passeggiare e godere di suoni e profumi di una natura incontaminata.

Once, Mantova, capital of the Gonzaga's rule, was completely surrounded by the water. From it Mantova got protection, watering for its fields and motive power for its millstones. Where the Mincio flows with slow meanders reflecting bell towers between lotus and hydraulic plans, unique in the Lower Po Valley, it is possible to walk and appreciate sounds and scents between art and pure country walking along the banks or among the towns squares.

Früher war Mantova, Hauptstadt des Staates der Gonzaga, vollständig vom Wasser umgeben. Von diesem erhielt sie Schutz, Bewässerung für die Felder und Antriebskraft für die Mühlsteine. Wo der Mincio in langsamen Windungen dahinfließt und wo sich, zwischen Lotusblüten und für die untere Poebene einzigartigen Wasserprojekten, Kirchtürme in seinem Wasser spiegeln, da kann man auf seinen Spaziergängen an den Ufern oder auf den Plätzen zwischen Kunst und unberührter Natur genießerisch Töne und Wohlgerüche wahrnehmen.
